Provender Kitchen And Bar

My girlfriend and I tried Provender on a whim during our trip to Maine, and we were absolutely blown away. We decided to give it a try when we had to just "wing" some dinner plans one night. After looking over the menu online, it looked promising. In the end, both of us loved our dishes--They were cooked perfectly and it was the most memorable meal we had on our trip! Would definitely eat here again if we're ever back in the Bar Harbor area.

Everything is amazing. The atmosphere is great, service is on point, and the food is absolutely out of this world. Willing to travel 6+ hours to come up here every few months and never disappointed. The chef is accommodating with a vegan menu that is on par with the rest of the menu. And the desserts are to die.Keep up the great work, we will be back soon!

Creative food combinations, prepared to perfection. You can taste the passion for great food coming from the kitchen. I love this restaurant. Sensational desserts too. Full bar. Attentive service. Highly recommended.

We stopped for their hamburgers. Just wonderful. Two smaller patties, so great caramelization. Wonderful fries. All worth the stop anytime.

High end dining at a humble looking place in Ellsworth Maine!!!! This chef is experimenting his high end menu here temporarily or what!! I loved the remoulade!!! It tasted amazing. Liked the lobster rolls. Beet salad is a must. Burger was average. Fish and chips were below average. The crust was very heavy and beer tasting.

Provender is hands down my favorite eatery in the general area. Their food is not only unique but it is mouth wateringly delicious. Staff are knowledgeable & friendly. The owners care a lot about the establishment & it shows! Darren is so creative & accommodating. HIGHLY recommend!

We loved Provendar. The way the interior has been finished off in theis old building gives you a real comfortable atmosphere. There is a nice bar area and plenty of booths; however I would recommend making reservations if you are traveling this way, just to make sure you can get one. The food, the drinks and the service were great. We had the "Rabbit" Egg rolls and Mussels for appetizers which were both great and then followed that up with their delicious house burger. Definitely will be back to try out the rest of the menu!

This is a cozy venue in Ellsworth with excellent food and service. The chef is very happy to be part of our year-round community and treats restaurant guests like family!

It's the type of place where you wish you could order everything on the menu. Creativity shines in everything the do including the unique and delicious cocktail menu. Highly recommended. One thing to keep in mind however is that this is not a fast meal, you will be there for well over an hour

Loved this place. I sat at the bar, but this was nothing like bar food. A little pricey, but you definitely get what you paid for. Staff was warm and helpful too.

Provender is my go-to place for a special brunch, a nice dinner out with friends and family or to just perch at the bar for a craft cocktail. This is such a gem and I feel so lucky to have such a special spot here in our little community! The food and drinks are always phenomenal and the staff always treat us like family. They've also been so generous with the community and incredibly creative and innovative during our strange period of quarantine. I cannot recommend them enough!

The food is marvelous. It's just like a five-star restaurant sans the white tablecloths and Sterling silver flatware. You'll not regret eating here.

We’re so grateful to have heard about Provender. We just enjoyed our first fantastic meal here and are looking forwarding to returning frequently. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful as they answered questions about the menu and made suggestions for our table. Our entire table ordered off the vegan menu and we’re thrilled with the entire experience. As we were finishing up the owner came to visit, asking how our experience was and chatting briefly with our table and some others prior to heading back to the kitchen!The Truffle Fries were a delicious starter and I enjoyed the vegan ravioli.

Simple equation here. Fresh food locally bought and prepared by a passionate chef = absolutely delicious. Go see for yourself. No matter what I try, I’m floored by how amazing it is.

A nice place for brunch with savoury dishes. Everything tasted fresh! The menu changes often so what we had might not be available.

The best Lobster Bisque I've ever had! They have a very unique and amazing craft cocktail menu .

The menu wasn't as presented on the website. Service was slow. We had to flag down our waitress who was standing behind the bar most of the evening. My husband's chicken was bland and the risotto was like soup. My burger was delicious. I also had the appetizer of beets. The beets themself were great, but the feta dip they were served on was so salty that it was inedible.*update* since our experience, the manager has contacted me several times. Daron is the perfect example of customer service. He not only offered to buy us dinner, but he's reached out several times to ensure we get a reservation whenever it's convenient for us. Based on the service he's provided we will try definitely try again.

Our meals were from a combination of the main and plant based menus and they were fabulous. Wait staff was outstanding. We will be back next week!

Unbelievable food. The chef obviously takes alot of pride in their craft. The staff was very warm and accommodating. Now a favorite of ours.The skillet and homemade cinnamon rolls were two of the items we had. The short rib in the skillet was tender and very flavorful. The rolls just the right ammount of cinnamon and icing.Check this place out.
